A traction hoist is a mechanical device that lifts materials from a low place to a high place through a traction device such as a chain, belt or wire rope. It has a motor and a set of gears, which work together to generate a strong lifting force. It is mainly used for vertical transportation of various loose, block and powdered materials, such as grains, coal, cement, ore, etc.
Traction hoists can be divided into the following types according to the different traction devices:
Chain hoist: suitable for short-distance, large-tonnage material lifting.
Wire rope hoist: suitable for long-distance, high-speed lifting, commonly used in high-rise building construction.
Belt hoist: suitable for medium-distance material lifting, with high conveying capacity and low noise
The main components of the traction hoist include:
Head: the feeding part, including the feeding port, head wheel and traction device (chain, belt or wire rope).
Tail: the discharging part, including the discharging port, tail wheel and tensioning device.
Drive device: provides power, usually composed of a motor, a reducer and a coupling.
Conveying medium: chain, belt or wire rope, driving the material to move upward.
Protective device: ensure the safety and stability of the equipment, including circuit breakers, limit switches, anti-collision devices and anti-blocking devices, etc.
Construction sites: vertical transportation of construction materials and personnel.
Mines: transportation of ore and other underground resources.
Port terminals: loading and unloading of goods.
Warehouses and logistics centers: vertical transportation of goods.
Advantages and disadvantages of traction hoist
